Halsey-weir premium bonus scheme

This scheme is identical to the Halsey incentive scheme. But under this scheme the bonus paid is 30% of the time saved or the ratio of time saved to time allotted.

Halsey incentive scheme

A wage incentive scheme enunciated by F.A. Halsey in 1891 in the U.S.A. Under this system a worker is paid for extra production a piece rate bonus (e.g. 50% of the time saved) over and above the agreed hourly wage rate.

Halo effect

1) Taking advantage of a brand name while marketing a new product under the aegis of the same brand. 2) An approach that lays emphasis on one aspect of an employee’s performance or of a job applicant’s background.

A mark made on a precious metal as a guarantee of purity. Figuratively, it is a seal of quality and assurance.

(Related to a communication system computer circuit etc.) Allowing the transmission of signals in both directions but not simultaneously.
