Credit guarantee

Refers to the guarantee provide by either a credit guarantee institution or an individual or a financial institution to the tender on behalf of the person or institution borrowing the money. Such guarantees are common for export business.

Credit card

A card issued by a firm to its customer. The card is evidence of the firm’s readiness to extend credit to the said customer for his purchase of goods and services.

Credit account

A credit account with a shop for getting goods and services without making immediate payment.

A letter inviting attention of the addressee to another letter or document enclosed with it.

Covenant

A provision, aimed at protecting the interest of the bondholder, the provision is made explicit on the face of the bond.

Covariance

This is the joint variation between two or more variables.

Coupon rate of interest

The rate of interest on the par value of a debenture or bond as recorded on the instrument.

Couponing

The practice of presenting discount voucher whenever any purchase is made.
