Called up capital

It is that part of the issued share capital which is actually called up by the company from the allottees of the share.

Callback pay

An extra wage paid to an employee who is called back to work when his regular working hours is over.

Callable bonds

Bonds which can be converted before maturity if the issuer so desires.

Call rate

The rate of interest allowed on deposits repayable at call.

Call premium

A redemption price over the par value.

Call option

Claim by a company for a part or the entire balance owed on partly paid shares by the share allottees. As per common practice, 14 th of the share value is payable with application for the share, 14 th as the 1st call, 14 th as the 2nd call and the remaining 14 th in full payment before delivery.

The portion of volume variance arising ort of the difference between budgeted working days and actual working days in a given period.
